Initial Device Setup
Lesson 6 of 21App Pairing & Internet Connection
In this section, we will guide you through the process on how to pair your Ora FacePass device with the mobile app, and connect the device to the internet.
WiFi Network Compatibility
Ora FacePass connects to the internet via 2.4GHz WiFi network. Before you begin, check and make sure you have a 2.4GHz WiFi SSID available. If your router uses band steering (combining 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz under one network name), it is advised to separate them into two separate SSIDs.
It is recommended to have your WiFi password accessible before you begin.
DO NOT connect the device to a mobile hotspot network.
Ensure your mobile device's WiFi connectivity and Bluetooth are turned on before the pairing process.
Watch the Pairing Process Video
We recorded this instruction video to give you a visual reference of this process, and it is also being presented in the text format in the below section.
To wake up the device at any time, press the #5 area on the keypad, and then you will see the keyboard and the LED light ring around the fingerprint scanner lights up.

If you need the device to enter Pairing Mode again, simply wake up the device and you will hear the voice prompt again, which indicated the device is in Pairing Mode.
DO NOT exit the Ora FacePass mobile app during the Pairing process.
