Lesson 8 of 21Enroll Your Face
In this section, we are going to guide you through the process of enrolling your face for secure and contactless access.

DO NOT enroll your face when the device is under direct sunlight exposure outdoor (around noon), or in low lighting conditions, as the ambient infrared light can interfere with the IR projector on the smart lock.
To enroll or recognize your face, stand comfortably in front of the smart lock at a distance that feels natural for your height. Most users can stand about 2ft (60cm) away. If you are taller (6 feet and above), stand slightly further, around 2.5-3ft (75-90cm) away. If you are shorter, stand slightly closer, around 1.6-2ft (50-60cm) away.
Follow the prompts on the smart lock or mobile app to enroll your face. Keep your body steady and look directly at the camera module. Make sure you can clearly see the two red lights flashing on both sides of the camera, which means the device is actively scanning.
If your face is not enrolled/captured after 5 seconds, adjust your position slightly by moving forward or backward depending on your height. The enrollment process typically takes less than 5 seconds to complete.
If the device has trouble enrolling or recognizing your face, small adjustments can help. For taller users, slightly bend your knees while keeping your upper body upright and face the lock.
Face Enrollment Tips
- Stand in a well-lit area
- Remove sunglasses and face masks
- Regular glasses and hats are okay
- Look directly at the camera
Privacy & Security
Your face data is never stored as an image. Instead, our system creates an encrypted 3D mathematical model that cannot be reconstructed into a photograph or used to identify you outside our system. All biometrics data is stored securely on the device only.
You may enroll multiple face profiles. For optimal performance, it is recommended to enroll your face under different conditions—such as with and without facial hair or makeup—as these can affect infrared reflections and recognition accuracy.
